My name is John Droz and I am an Oklahoma native with a side of Kansas raising. I began my career in 1999 drawing cross country fiber optic routes. This was my way of avoiding manual labor in the heat and cold. The dot com bust then took me into site design. First at BSW International and then with Khoury Engineering. Both opportunities allowed me to further my design and project management skills. In 2010 I took a consultant management position at local convenience store operator Quiktrip. The next five years gave me invaluable insight into the client side of our business. Prior to opening Route 66 with Billy and Bill, we all worked at a local multidiscipline firm Cyntergy.
Most of my spare time is spent with my wife, kids, gardening and many farm animals. In the time I have left, I enjoy manual labor in the heat and cold.

Early in life I was around construction and civil engineering projects as my father worked in the industry. I remember walking on the large 71st street bridge over the Arkansas River in Tulsa prior to its opening with my father as a young child. Civil Engineering and construction have always been a part of my life. I started my full career with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation after I graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2002. After I left ODOT I worked for several engineer firms Cyntergy, Dewberry and Guy Engineering. My career in Civil Engineering has been a diverse mixture of transportation projects, site development and government military projects. I met many great people at all those places and gained knowledge and friendships at every stop. I didn't plan on being founding member of my own engineering firm, but after 20 years of working in the industry I finally met up with perfect combination of people to work with. We all have unique skill sets that complement each other and this helps us to meet our client's needs.
I am blessed to have a wonderful family. I didn't meet my wife Cara until I was 36, but I couldn't imagine starting my own business without her help and support. We have two wonderful children Sedona and Orrin. We love to travel and visit state and national parks together.
I went to college and obtained my teaching degree to teach high school industrial technology. After graduation in 1992, I took the first job available which was at a civil firm in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In 1998 I moved back to Tulsa with a 10 year run at BSW International and then 10 years at Walter P Moore before moving

My favorite activities include traveling, fishing, hunting, concerts and eating out with my two sons.

I graduated from the Lebanese University with a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering and worked for a few years before moving to the US. Outside of work, I love basketball, singing and spending time with my husband and my two daughters.

I worked several jobs in my life from retail sales, used car salesman and a couple of years at American Airlines until I got a job drafting and taught myself Autocad with some help from friends, I've now been in the industry for 25 years. In those 25 years I have made several relationships including close friendships. These guys at 66 are part of that, and it's exciting to build a future in the industry with them.
I have been married for 26 years to my best friend and we have 1 son. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, light yard work, and sitting in the back yard.

I graduated high school in 2018, while concurrently attending Central Tech in Drumright, Oklahoma during my Junior and Senior years. I have explored many different fields of work that have led me to where I am now. I spent time as a Crane Operator for Webco Industries and then became a Warehouse Associate for Sagebrush Pipeline Equipment. I found my way to NOV Fiberglass Systems where I assembled fiberglass tanks that went underground for fuel storage at gas stations. I then earned the opportunity to learn Plant/Industrial Maintenance. Having found my groove, I continued my career as a Maintenance Technician with Milo’s Tea Company and then moved up as a Millwright/Rigger with Allstar Machinery Movers. Throughout my experiences I learned a lot about many different fields of work that were subject to the elements, leading me to investigate the option of a job where I can work indoors and draft for most of the day. I have enjoyed it thus far and plan on being in the field of work for the foreseeable future.
I enjoy spending my free time doing activities outdoors such as hunting, fishing, golfing, and exploring new places in the wilderness. I also enjoy working on projects and spending time with my family.

I received my Bachelor's degree from Northeastern State University and worked the next 24 years at Cyntergy before joining Route 66 Engineering in September 2023. While at Cyntergy I honed my civil design and engineering skills and was promoted to the Director of Engineering before I left. While there I worked on various types of projects from fiber optics routing, big box retail and multiple military projects including missile transfer facilities, while primarily focused on site development and design. I had the privilege of working with most of the people at Route 66 while there and when the opportunity arose it was an easy decision to make Route 66 Engineering my home.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my wife and son along with hiking, camping and tinkering on all sorts of projects.

Oklahoma born and bred, I earned my degree in Interior Design from the University of Central Oklahoma and am licensed in the state of Oklahoma. I’ve spent the past 20 years working in the architecture and engineering industry, most recently as the Marketing Manager at a local firm where I led proposal efforts, coordinated pursuits, and kept things running behind the scenes. I joined Route 66 Engineering as the Operations Coordinator, and I’m excited to bring that same energy and experience to a team that feels like home.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, and together we’re raising two boys. When we’re not running from one event to the next, we’re usually at home enjoying our backyard pool, a good playlist, and a cold beverage. I love to read and unwind with a hot cup of tea in the evenings. My husband and I also enjoy trying new restaurants around town and fitting in a date night whenever we can.
